8. REVEL FOX

The Cape Town Convention Centre is an important building in the CBD, that forms the focal point of much of the cities activities. 13. 2 AD SPACE DESIGN

2 PICASSO CLOSE: These architects make a futuristic sort of contemporary architecture look easy. The layers of this building are set of at about a 30 degree angle, and the bottom line of one glides into becoming the top line of the other. Some dextrous design moves!

FRENCH STYLE MANSION : In the design for the Centur City Conference center we see two elements interplay on the facade, namely the turquoise blue glazing, and the beachwood coloured facebrick. The peel-away effect is very eye-catching. See

MEDICLINIC SOMERSET WEST: This firm has designed many quality buildings in the towns of Stellenbosch and Somerset West, including the vast renovations and extensions to Mediclinic Hospital.

BUSAMED HOSPITAL - SOMERSET WEST: Perhaps not as well known yet as DHK, this architect has designed some stunning gemsfor apartment buildings in the fast growing areas to the east of the CBD. Adding their own level of interpretation to the Cape Vernacular style, which has become somewhat trite in some security estates around Cape Town - they designed the BlueBird cafe entirely clad in hardwood.

Masters of the interplay between solid and void, TV3 architects and town planners is one of the few architecture firms to have designed iconic buildings in Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Somerset West.
